About Us
Natural Family News is a spin-off project from our original business, The Delightful Child. We started Natural Family News to provide a place where naturally-minded parents can keep up with the latest happenings in breastfeeding, organic food, sustainable living, homebirth, homeschooling, and a variety of other topics that might interest you.

Laura King
My name is Laura and I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of three handsome young boys and wife to an IT geek. Prior to having children I worked full time as a veterinarian; after the birth of my oldest son I felt a calling to work with other expectant moms. I am certified with the Childbirth and Postpartum Professionals Association as both a labor doula and a childbirth educator, and am an accredited La Leche League leader. Also, I help coordinate a local homebirth organization. I love being able to help other women have healthy, happy pregnancies and joyous birth experiences. In addition to birth and babies, I also enjoy sewing, scrapbooking, and reading. I don’t watch much television but I am an Alias junkie. My family and I have a strong interest in natural living; we try to eat whole foods (maybe one day I’ll actually get the hang of baking my own bread!), buy organic, and use environmentally friendly products when possible. I also use cloth diapers for my little ones and enjoy using herbal and homeopathic remedies to help them with any minor illnesses.
Jill Manty
My name is Jill Manty, and I am the mother of five precious children, ranging in age from 11 to newborn. I homeschool all of my children and enjoy seeing them grow and learn. I’m somewhat of an internet junkie, and I really enjoy the freedom of knowledge that it provides. My interest in natural living goes back quite a way. I’ve been a vegetarian off and on since college, and now I’m raising most of my children as vegetarians. My husband is also a vegetarian. I am currently taking a course in aromatherapy to pursue the healing powers of essential oils. Lastly, my husband and I own a comprehensive online homeschool guide for homeschoolers.
Lastly, my husband George Manty handles most of the website promotion for our website.
